June 27, 2011 - 07:10 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray is taking an HIV test to show his support for National HIV Testing Day.
Gray says he will get tested Monday at the opening of a newly expanded and renovated primary care center.
The center, run by Bread for the City, is on 7th Street northwest.
HIV and AIDS remains a big issue in the city. About 3 percent of the city's population over the age of 12 has HIV or AIDS.
