Metro's weekend track work to cause delays
June 17, 2011 - 06:01 am
(AP, WJLA) - Delays throughout the Metro system due to track work will continue through closing Sunday night.
The agency says customers on the red, blue and orange lines should add about 20 minutes to their travel time.
Trains on the red line will share one track between Van Ness-UDC and Friendship Heights stations and between Takoma and Forest Glen stations.
Orange and Blue line trains also will share a single track between Eastern Market and Stadium Armory stations.
Work on the Green Line between Greenbelt and College Park took place Saturday. Regular service is expected to resume today.
