Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 8300 block of Quintana Street in New Carrollton, Md.

Tuesday evening at approximately 8:48 p.m., Patrol Officers received a call for service for the sound of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they found a male victim had been transported to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after 11:00 p.m.

Detectives continue to investigate to establish a motive and suspect information.
