New Visions Academy evacuated after strong odor detected in building
June 8, 2011 - 09:26 am
A school in Capitol Heights was evacuated Wednesday morning due to a strong, pungent odor, fire officials say.
Prince George's County Fire officials say that Haz-Mat crews were called to the New Visions Academy at 8601 Ashwood Dr.
Crews found that the odor was coming from a stripping compound that construction workers were using on floors in the building.
No one was injured or sickened by the odor.
