June 16, 2011 - 01:52 pm
A 28-year-old man was arrested on charges of embezzlement for not paying more than $200 in a Vienna meals tax.
Authorities arrested Michael Paul Willis, 28, on Thursday after he turned himself in to authorities. Polcie said the charges stem from non-payment of the Town of Vienna meals tax collected at Nielsen’s Frozen Custard on Church Street, MW.
All Town of Vienna businesses that sell prepared foods are required to act as agents on behalf of the Town and collect the meals tax.
