Police investigate NW shooting

D.C. police are investigating a shooting in the 3500 block of Holmead Place NW.

Police say a man was shot just after 4 a.m. Friday. The victim was conscious and breathing when he was transported to a local hospital, police say.

No further details were immediately available.
