Search continues for victims of sex assaults commited over 30 years ago

Authorities are continuing their search for additional victims of sexual assaults that occurred over 30 years ago in the Silver Spring area.

Police say 48-year-old Christopher Chamblin was arrested in April for sexual assaults he committed in Silver Spring, where he lived, in the late 1970’s. Chamblin was taken into custody in Florida, where he currently lives, and transported to Montgomery County. He is charged with first-degree rape.

As a result of an investigation, detectives believe there may be more victims. They say the potential victims may not recognize Chamblin in a recent photograph released at the time of his arrest in April. Authorities have since released another picture of what he looked like at the time these sex assault may have occurred.
