Student shoots classmate with BB-gun
A student at Brooke Point High School was detained after he brought a BB-gun to school and shot a classmate with it, according to Stafford County police.
The 17-year-old allegedly brought the weapon to school on Tuesday. He was showing the BB-gun off in the classroom and shot a fellow student in the shoulder, a classmate told a school resource officer.
The accused student was taken into custody by the school resource officer and taken to a Juvenile Detention Center. Juvenile petitions were placed against him for Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds, Brandishing a Weapon and Unlawful Injury, Stafford County police said.
The student who was shot with the BB-Gun was treated by the school nurse and returned to the classroom.
