A driver is in custody after police found a suspicious package inside a car in Arlington County.
A Virginia State Trooper stopped the vehicle on the ramp from I-395 South to Washington Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Police say the trooper saw the package and a gun on the front seat of the car.
Shortly before 12 a.m., a bomb squad responded to the scene to investigate.
Police say the package didn’t contain any explosives.
Willie Amaz Braddy, 41, of Rocky Mount, N.C., was taken into state police custody and charged with reckless driving and for concealing a weapon without a valid permit
The ramp for I-395 was closed for several hours.
