Suzanne Peck to head D.C. performance review
June 8, 2011 - 05:31 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray has selected a former chief technology officer for the city to help root out wasteful spending and find potential new non-tax revenues.
Gray announced on Tuesday that Suzanne Peck will lead the district's performance review as a senior to adviser the city administrator. Peck, who also led performance reviews in Delaware and Pennsylvania, will work on a pro-bono basis.
Gray says his administration will redirect resources from outdated and poorly performing programs to more essential services.
The mayor is calling the effort the "One City Performance Review," which he says is designed to ensure continued financial stability and government reform.
