WASHINGTON (AP) - Officials are hosting a town hall meeting at a southeast Washington church in the hopes of encouraging the community to become more involved in the criminal justice system, including as witnesses and jurors.
The town hall will be held Thursday evening at Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church. Participants will include leaders of the Metropolitan Police Department, clergy members and U.S. Attorney Ronald Machen, the city's top prosecutor.
