Centreville triple stabbing leaves 1 dead, 2 hurt
Updated: June 8, 2011 - 04:06 pm
Fairfax County police say a woman is dead and two other people are seriously injured after a domestic dispute in Centreville Monday morning.
Around 5:30 a.m., Mihwa Kim, 49, was found dead inside a top floor apartment in the 13800 block of Braddock Springs Road, police say. Two more victims, one male and one female, also found in the unit, were transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police charged Man Ha Park, 53, of Braddock Springs Road with murder in connection with the slaying.
Investigators believe that the three knew each other and that the incident happened inside the apartment.
Initial reports said police had issued a lookout for an Asian male in his 40’s who was believed to be responsible for the stabbing, but police now say one of the victims is the suspect. Police are investigating this as a homicide.
Several neighbors reportedly called 911 to report that someone had banged on their door pleading for help.
The cause remains under investigation. This marks the fifth homicide in Fairfax County this year.
