Two vets use golf to heal
June 1, 2011 - 05:44 pm
The hype around the Melwood Prince George’s County golf open continues to build. Today, golfers hit the links for a day of fun at the tournament’s pro-am.
It’s the kind of day made possible because of the men and women serving in the armed forces, including two soldiers bonded by duty and the game of golf.
Charles Eggleston and fellow army veteran Ramon Padilla took part in the official pro-am. Each suffered traumatic injuries while serving.
Each has used golf to recover both physically and mentally.
