June 2, 2011 - 10:20 am
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia motorists are getting some relief at the gas pump.
AAA's Fuel Gauge says the price of a gallon of regular gasoline now averages $3.67 a gallon statewide. That's a drop of about 6 cents from last week and about 20 cents from a month ago.
But motorists are still paying more than $1 a gallon more in Virginia than they were a year ago.
Gas prices range from about $3.84 in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area to about $3.53 in the Roanoke metro area.
Gas prices nationally average $3.78.
