MARTINSVILLE, Va. (AP) - Active duty military personnel and their families can get free admission into several Virginia museums this summer.
The Virginia Museum of Natural History in Martinsville, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond and several others are among 1,300 museums nationwide that are offering free admission to military families through Labor Day.
The Blue Star Museums program is a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families.
Virginia Museum of Natural History executive director Joe Keiper says men and women in the armed forces deserve "everything we can provide for them."
