Van Dorn Street, Franconia-Springfield stations closed for construction
June 5, 2011 - 10:08 am
The Van Dorn Street and Franconia-Springfield Metro stations are closed Sunday, and Metro is advising customers to add time to their travel plans if commuting in the area.
VDOT is doing bridge replacement work at Telegraph Road near the King Street Station, forcing the closure of the final two stations on the Blue Line.
All Blue Line trains are operating between Largo Town Center and Huntington. Shuttle service will be available between King Street and Franconia-Springfield.
Normal service resumes Monday morning.
