Woman alleges sexual assault by police detective
A D.C. woman went to police officers for help, but says she ended up a victim of sexual assault at the hands of the police.
D.C. Police confirms its internal affairs division is investigating a woman's claim she was raped inside the 7th District police station by a detective. Joel Maupin, the commander there, said the woman was high on PCP.
Sources told ABC7 the woman claims she came to the 7th District station Saturday to report a crime. The detective who interviewed her determined she had PCP on her. He asked her to choose between going to jail for possession or to have sex with him, the allegation goes.
Sources say the woman claims she had sex with the detective in a file room, and later reported the incident. Police did not released additional details on the case.
