Woman robbed in Takoma Park

A woman was the victim of an armed robbery Wednesday in Takoma Park.

Police said the woman was walking away from a Metro station and toward Takoma Park and Cedar Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. when a man got out of a burgundy colored Buick, pulled out a semi-automatic weapon and demanded property.

The victim handed over some belongings and the suspect fled in the vehicle towards Philadelphia Avenue.

The victim was not injured.
