2 adults missing, feared victims of crime, located

Authorities say the two missing adults who were last seen on July 4 in South Baltimore have been located safe and unharmed.

John Joseph Schmincke, 32, and Rachael Ann Fitzgerald, 27, were traveling in a vehicle when they were stopped by police at the Key Bridge around 4 p.m. Thursday.

The couple went missing on July 4, and Fitzgerald’s vehicle was recovered in Anne Arundel County.

The investigation into evidence found in her vehicle that suggested that they may be the victims of a serious assault is ongoing, authorities say.
