Absentee voting under way in northern Va.

McLEAN, Va. (AP) - Absentee voting is under way in northern Virginia in advance of next month's primary elections.
Virginia voters are electing candidates this year to the House of Delegates and state Senate, as well as local races, although not all primaries are contested.
In-person absentee balloting began Friday and continues through Aug. 20.
The primary will be Aug. 23.
