Alexandria red light camera warning period ending
July 29, 2011 - 11:42 am
The warning period for red-light runners in Alexandria is coming to an end, as violators can expect tickets in the mail starting next week.
Photo enforcement cameras were installed at three intersections in the city in late June and a warning period has been in effect for the entire month of July.
However, come August 1, the warning period will expire and full enforcement will begin.
The red light cameras, which operate 24 hours a day, are located at the following intersections:
-South Patrick Street and Franklin Street
-South Patrick Street and Gibbon Street
-Duke Street and South Walker Street
Warning signs have been installed to alert drivers at each intersection.
