AMBER ALERT: Child abducted in Clinton, Md.
UPDATE 7:15 p.m.: Amber Alert cancelled.
CLINTON, Md. (AP) - Maryland State Police say a suspect is in police custody after the abduction of a 3-year-old girl in Prince George's County.
Police issued an Amber Alert on Sunday evening for Laniya Shanyce Brame. She was last seen in the 8300 block of Woodyard Road in Clinton around 1:45 p.m. Sunday.
Cpl. Deborah Flory says George Henry Washington saw the Amber Alert and turned himself in. She says he is the girl's father but authorities do not believe he had custody of her.
Flory says police are working to confirm that he dropped off the girl, as he told police.

An Amber Alert has been issued for Laniya Shanyce Brame who is described as being 2.5 feet tall and 30 pounds. She is believed to have been abducted in Clinton by George Henry Washington, police say.
Police are looking for an older model blue Grand Marquis bearing MD registration: 2EH V67.

Location: 8300 Block of Woodyard Rd Clinton MD
Details: The Maryland State Police at the request of Maryland National Capitol Park Police have issued a Maryland Child AMBER Alert for Laniya Brame.
CHILD: Laniya Brame is further described as being 2.5 feet and 30 pounds. The child was last seen wearing a white Minnie mouse t-shirt blue shorts and pink and white Jordan shoes.
LOCATION: The child was last observed at approximately 1:45 pm in the area of Woodyard Road in Clinton MD. The child is believed to have been abducted by the suspect.
SUSPECT: George Henry Washington is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and 230 pounds. The suspect may be wearing White T-Shirt, blue Jeans and Black and Green High top shoes. Suspect has a Red beard and Reddish Brown short Hair
VEHICLE: A possible suspect vehicle is a older model Blue Grand marquis bearing MD registration: 2EH V67. Anyone with information is asked to immediately call 911 or MD National Capitol Park Police at 301-459-9088. Do not take action which could endanger your safety or further endanger the abducted child.
