Anne Arundel County Police search for suspect in hit-and-run
Police in Anne Arundel County are still searching for the driver in a hit-and-run accident that killed a bicyclist in Brooklyn Park, Md. two weeks ago.
Authorities say that a small, dark-colored SUV struck a cyclist near the intersection of Ritchie Highway and Bon Air Avenue in Brooklyn Park at about 8 a.m. on July 14 and left the scene.
The cyclist later died as a result of the injuries.
On Saturday, police released surveillance video of what they believe could be the striking vehicle.
Police say that the vehicle, possibly a Ford Escape or Jeep Liberty, probably has damage to the passenger-side headlight, hood and windshield. The suspect is described as a black, 5'6" female, between 30-40 years old with short hair, wearing pink medical scrubs.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call (410) 222-8573.
