Baltimore Ravens: Ravens launch training camp
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) - The Baltimore Ravens launched training camp with a three-hour practice that quickly revealed the conditioning of players who spent five months away from football during the lockout.
Not surprisingly, Ray Lewis finished the session seemingly as fresh as when it began.
Lewis worked harder than ever before during the offseason, and he returned for his 16th season in outstanding shape. The 36-year-old linebacker varied his workout to include cycling, which he says helped prepare him for all the running he does on the field.
Coach John Harbaugh says his players showed up in good shape - especially Lewis.
The Ravens will practice this summer at their own training facility because the lockout didn't give them time to set up camp in Westminster, Md.
