The body of 25-year-old James Robert Kane was recovered Wednesday morning from the Magothy River near Dobbins Island. Emergency crews had been searching for him since he went missing on July 4.
Kane, of Pasadena, Md., was thrown from his boat when it turned sharply, Maryland resources police stated.
A 911 caller told emergency workers two people fell into the water from a 16-foot skiff at about 4:30 p.m. Monday. The Maryland Natural Resources Police said preliminary investigation revealed that Kane and a friend were thrown from a 17 -foot Carolina Skiff after the vessel suddenly turned sharply. The friend was picked up by another vessel.
The area was searched by water and air for days.
Kane's body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy.
