Branch Avenue to close at Pennsylvania Avenue on Thursday

Branch Avenue SE will be closed in both directions at Pennsylvania Avenue SE between Thursday, July 7 and Monday, July 11, while DDOT rebuilds the roadway.

The road will be closed for about 100 feet north and south of Pennsylvania Avenue. The remainder of Branch Avenue will remain open to traffic, but there will be no access or turns onto Branch from Pennsylvania.
DDOT says that heavy traffic volumes in the area and the depth of the construction activity make it implausible to keep this section of the road open to any traffic during the project.
The closure will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday and the road is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
