Brandon Joseph McCallister arrested, charged in Frederick stabbing
One man is under arrest and a victim was hospitalized after a stabbing at a Frederick Sheetz convenience store on Saturday morning, police say.
Frederick Police were called to the Sheetz at 1600 Rosemont Ave. to find a large amount of blood inside and outside the store. They then were called to Frederick Memorial Hospital, which had received a stabbing victim with wounds to his eye, back and left arm.
An investigation led them to conclude that his injuries were sustained at the convenience store. A witness at the hospital told a Frederick Police detective that a person on hospital property fit the description of a suspect in the stabbing.
The suspect, Brandon Joseph McCallister of Walkersville, Md., was arrested and charged with first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
The victim's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
