Budget deficit workshop in Arlington
ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - Northern Virginia residents with ideas on how to cut the federal budget deficit are invited to participate in an interactive workshop Monday hosted by U.S. Rep. Jim Moran.
The Democratic Virginia congressman and the nonpartisan Concord Coalition are co-hosting a workshop Monday evening entitled "Principles & Priorities: How Would You Balance the Budget?" at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association building on Wilson Boulevard In Arlington.
Participants will work in small groups to review budget priorities and see how various proposals would affect the budget.
The event is free and open to all residents in Moran's 8th District. Participants are asked to pre-register.
