LAUREL, Md. (AP) - Authorities say a car has run off the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in the Laurel area, killing one person and seriously injuring three others.
Four occupants of the car were pinned inside and had to be extricated, authorities say.
U.S. Park Police spokesman Sgt. David Schlosser said the accident happened in the northbound lanes of the parkway near Route 197 about 10:15 p.m. Thursday. 28-year-old Sebrone King of Burtonsville was killed in the crash.
The three other occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Their most up-to-date condition is not known.
Schlosser says the parkway reopened about 3 a.m. Friday.
