Three men were sentenced Thursday for their roles in a drug distribution ring that spanned back to 2006.

Charles Wade, 26, and Herman Williams, 20, both of the District, received 12 and 9 1/2 year terms respectively for their role in the ring. 31-year-old Robert McMillan of Camp Springs was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison.

Wade, Williams and McMillan were part of a drug organization that operated out of several neighborhoods within the District and in other areas around the D.C. metro area. As part of the ring, the members distributed PCP, heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine. Crimes in the case date back to 2006, but the three defendants were indicted for crimes committed between August 2009 and March 2010.

Prosecutors say that Mark Pary, the alleged leader of the ring, enlisted several family members and friends to distribute the drugs, often using means of intimidation and violence to protect the scheme.

Pray, along with two other defendants, face trial in January of 2012. A fourth defendant in this case, 32-year-old Robert Smith of Washington, will be sentenced at a later date.
