D.C. heat wave: Another scorcher in store
The Washington region is under a heat advisory from noon until 8 p.m. tonight as temperatures could reach triple digits. It’s also a code orange air quality day, which means the air will be unhealthy for sensitive groups.
Like Monday, the heat and humidity will return today in our area with a vengeance as heat indices will near 105. And we aren’t the only ones dealing with the oppressive heat.
People in the Midwest, South, and Northeast are doing all they can to stay cool as heat advisories are in effect in more than 20 states.
Some places have been dealing with temperatures in the 90's and 100's for several days, and the heat is expected to stick around for a few more days.
