Edward Maurice Jones arrested in Manassas burglaries

Police have arrested a man in connection with a rash of burglaries in the Old Town area of Manassas.
Edward Maurice Jones faces grand larceny charges and more are pending.
Police say Jones broke into a business on Thursday, took a shower and shaved, before leaving with laptop computer and other items. On July 2, officers caught Jones stealing copper in Manassas and arrested him.
Police searched Jones’ residence and seized items recently stolen from one of the burglarized businesses. He is being held without bond.
Jones is scheduled to appear in court on July 27.
