Elijah Izeal LaJeuness' death ruled a homicide
July 28, 2011 - 02:14 pm
The April death of a Howard County child has been ruled a homicide by medical examiners, county police say.
On April 13, officers say they found 3-year-old Elijah Izeal LaJeuness not breathing at a home in the 9600 block of Basket Ring Road in Columibia. He was pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital. There were no signs of foul play at the scene.
However, an initial autopsy did not determine a cause of death, police say. Further medical testing indicated that the death was due to homicide.
The death of LaJeuness is only one of two homicides in Howard County in 2011.
