Fatal car accident in Ashton-Sandy Spring

Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal accident in Sandy Spring.

The accident occurred near the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Ednor Road in Ashton-Sandy Spring just after 7:15 a.m.

New Hampshire Avenue reopened in both directions at Ednor Road at about 1 p.m.

The deceased was identified as Julian Waldemar Gallardo Duarte, 19, of Baltimore.
