Glenkirk Elementary School student info may be missing
Personal student information from Glenkirk Elementary School may have been on a hard drive that is now missing.
Prince William County Public Schools stated that the information doesn’t include social security numbers but may include students’ names and addresses, classroom teacher and some grade and screening information.
Prince William County police was notified and is investigating.
From the school: Parents with direct questions about what specific information about their child may have been contained on the missing hard drive can call 703.753.1702 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, August 1 and 2. Glenkirk Elementary School office staff will be on-hand to answer phone calls and provide that information. Parents will be asked to answer multiple identifying questions in order to prevent any unauthorized disclosure.
