GOP Presidential Twitter Debate set for 3 p.m.
July 20, 2011 - 09:10 am
The latest debate amongst hopefuls for the GOP nomination for the 2012 presidential election is taking place Wednesday, but the candidates will not even be in the same room.
Wednesday's Presidential Twitter Debate, which will be hosted by TheTeaParty.net, will include such potential candidates as Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, Gary Johnson and Thaddeus McCotter.
Andrew Hemingway, the founder of Digital Acumen and the brainchild behind the debate, told Politico that the debate isn't sponsored by Twitter or any other social media brand.
The debate begins at 3 p.m. Users can submit questions to the moderators by tweeting to the @140townhall account or follow along at 140TownHall.com.
