ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - A former physical education teacher in Anne Arundel County has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, but will not serve any jail time.

Gregory Christy, who most recently taught at Rippling Woods Elementary School in Glen Burnie, pleaded guilty on Monday. The Baltimore Sun reports that under the plea agreement the 39-year-old must forfeit his teaching license and register as a sex offender for 15 years.

Prosecutors say several hundred thousand pornographic images were found on Christy's personal computers and more than 700 of the photos and videos children. Police say no local minors were depicted.

Christy apologized for his actions in a court hearing on Monday.
