Hubert Adolph Fridge sentenced to 40 years for sexual assaults
A 52-year-old man was sentenced to 40 years Friday for sexually assaulting two women and a boy.
Hubert Adolph Fridge, of D.C., had pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court to charges of armed kidnapping, kidnapping, second degree sexual abuse while armed with aggravating circumstances, and second degree child sexual abuse while armed with aggravating circumstances.
Fridge approached the first victim, a woman, in April 2006 outside Metro’s Stadium Armory stop, according to evidence presented at his plea hearing. He then claimed he had a gun, took the woman to an isolated section in the rear of Eastern Senior High School and sexually assaulted her, authorities said.
The second attack took place in November 2008. Fridge ran down the outdoor steps of an apartment on the 1600 block of C Street NE and captured a woman as she was going into the building, authorities said. He then put a knife to her and sexually assaulted her.
About a month later, Fridge sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy who was walking to school in D.C., authorities said.
During the plea hearing, authorities presented evidence that Fridge sexually assaulted two 13-year-old boys at knife point in the 1980s. He pleaded guilty to those crimes.
