John Howard Dunn gets 80 years for 2010 Oxon Hill slaying
July 25, 2011 - 03:07 pm
A 28-year-old man was sentenced to 80 years in connection with a 2010 fatal shooting in Oxon Hill.
Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela D. Alsobrooks stated that a circuit court judge sentenced John Howard Dunn to 60 years for murder and another 20 years for using a handgun during a crime for the August 2010 slaying of Brian Grant, 22.
“This case demonstrates why we need residents to come forward when they have been a witness to crime or violence,” said Alsobrooks in a statement. “We are much more successful in our prosecutions when the community collaborates with us to hold offenders accountable for their actions.”
Grant was found shot to death in the 1000 block of Marcy Avenue.
