Man hit by car in Rosslyn expected to survive
July 2, 2011 - 10:19 am
A man who was injured when he was hit by a car in Rosslyn on Friday night is expected to survive, police say.
Arlington County Police say that a 22-year-old man was hit as he walked through traffic in the 1100 block of N. Lynn Street. There were a large number of witnesses in the area at the time because an outdoor movie was being shown in the neighborhood.
The man was taken to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The striking vehicle, a Honda Civic, stayed on the scene, as did two witnesses.
Police are reminding anyone who witnesses a serious accident or crime to stay in the area to provide authorities with important, pertinent information.
