Man shot in Southeast D.C.

Metropolitan Police say a man has been shot in Southeast D.C. It happened shortly before 11 p.m. in the1600 block of 40th St SE.
Fire officials say the man has been taken to an area hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening wounds. No word on a suspect or a motive. MPD detectives are investigating.
