Metro weekend delays stifle Red, Blue and Yellow Lines
July 8, 2011 - 10:17 am
Track work will cause delays on Red, Blue and Yellow Lines of Metro starting late Friday night.
On the Red Line, trains will single-track in two places: between Grosvenor-Strathmore and Twinbrook, and between Takoma and Forest Glen, starting Friday at 9:30 p.m.
Single-tracking will occur on the Blue and Yellow Lines in two places as well. In D.C., trains will share a track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant, while in Virginia, single-tracking will occur between Braddock Road and both the Van Dorn Street and Huntington stations. All work on these lines begins at 10 p.m.
Customers are advised to add 20 minutes to their commute time.
