Michael Allen Alper pleads guilty to coercing

A Silver Spring man pleaded guilty Wednesday to coercing a minor into criminal sexual activity.
Michael Allen Alper, 34, met a 13-year-old girl in Feb. 2010 while at a gaming conference in Oxon Hill, authorities said. He then contacted the girl and had sexual contact with the girl on several occasions, authorities said.
In 2003, Alper was convicted of statutory rape in Fairfax County.
