FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — A woman who robbed a bank to buy Christmas presents for her three children has been sentenced to a year in jail.
Thirty-two-year-old Monique Renee Olshin pleaded guilty to robbery on Monday.
The Frederick News-Post reports prosecutors as saying Olshin put on a wig and passed a note to a teller at the PNC Bank on Ballenger Creek Pike in Frederick on Dec. 20. She walked out with nearly $3,000, but was caught an hour later walking in a neighborhood near the bank.
