Montgomery County police graduates citizens academy

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) - It's graduation day for members of the Montgomery County Police Department's Citizens Academy.
The graduates mark the end of an 18-week course Tuesday during a ceremony at the county's Public Service Training Academy.
The participants have taken classes on everything from firearm safety and state traffic laws to emergency response and drug identification.
Residents interested in signing up for the next Citizens Academy class can find an application on the county police website.
