WASHINGTON (AP) - The National Park Service is announcing details of the July 4th celebration on the National Mall.
Officials say their news conference Friday will focus on safety and how to avoid heat exhaustion during Monday's activities.
Huge crowds are expected on the Mall, the George Washington Memorial Parkway and the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol.
The news conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Netherlands Carillon, on the grounds of the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial.
