Pedestrian killed on Highway 1

A pedestrian was killed Thursday morning on Highway 1 near the intersection of Sacramento Drive.
Ralph Holland, of the 3400 block of Buckman Road, was crossing Richmond Highway not in a crosswalk when he was struck by a Toyota Camry. The driver, a 20-year-old Alexandria woman, remained on the scene.
Police said speed and alcohol don’t appear to be a factor in the crash.
