Police investigate shootings in Northwest, Southeast

D.C. police are investigating two separate shootings in Northwest and Southeast.
Authorities say a man was shot in the upper body near the intersection of Mount Pleasant Street and Irving Street around 11 p.m. Wednesday. His injuries are non-life threatening.
About an hour later, officers were called to 18th Street and U Place in Southeast for another shooting.
Police say a man was shot several times around 12:15 a.m. Thursday. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Police have no motive or suspects in either shooting.
