Raymond Frederick Stewart dies after assault in Capitol Heights
A 50-year-old man died after he was assaulted in Capitol Heights, Md., this weekend.
Raymond Frederick Stewart, of the 5700 block of Marlboro Pike in Capitol Heights, was pronounced dead Sunday afternoon at a hospital. Two other men were injured in the assault, police said.
The three men were assaulted Saturday night around 10:40 in the 4100 block of Southern Avenue by several male suspects, Prince George's County police said.
All three victims were transported to Prince George's Hospital Center. Police said they were called around 4:15 a.m. Sunday to the hospital where the victims were being treated.
Raymond Stewart was admitted to the intensive care unit for his injuries, while the other two victims were treated and released.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
