Red, Orange, Blue, Yellow lines face delays this weekend
Track work will cause single-tracking and delays on four Metro lines beginning late Friday night.
The delays are as follows:
-On the Red Line, single-tracking will occur in two places; between the Van Ness-UDC and Friendship Heights stations, and the Takoma and Forest Glen stations. Riders should add 30 minutes to their travel times.
-On the Orange Line, trains will share one track between Vienna-Fairfax/GMU and West Falls Church.
-On the Blue Line, single-tracking is occurring in two places; between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant, and between Braddock Road and Van Dorn Street. Riders should add 20 minutes to their travel times.
-On the Yellow Line, track work is forcing trains between Braddock Road and Huntington to share one track. Riders should add 20 minutes to their travel times.
Next weekend, four stations on the Red line - Twinbrook, White Flint, Grosvenor-Strathmore and Medical Center - will be closed entirely. Also, two Blue Line stations - Van Dorn Street and Franconia-Springfield - will be shut down.
